The Writer’s Corner is a Lagos-based creative writing school for children between ages 6 – 17. We teach children creative writing and teach teachers how to teach children creative writing. We offer a comprehensive writing curriculum to school children who require basic writing skills and fundamentals in a one-on-one teaching environment as well as in class environment The Writer’s Corner also provides creative writing and general communication solutions and interventions for individuals, schools, companies, governmental and non-governmental organizations and the general public.
Our creative writing programmes and workshops for children are unique, with the content and outlines specifically tailored to meet the set-objectives. Course outlines are exclusive to The Writer’s Corner and structured to be inspiring for both evolving and more developed young writers.
Meet The Team And Leadership
Our team is our strength. We have a team of dedicated professionals led by Mrs. Uchegbunam Udoji. Mrs. Udoji is the Project Coordinator and Chief Executive Officer of The Writer’s Corner. She is a seasoned teacher and astute creative writing educator with proven ability to inspire and enhance children’s creative writing, presentation and communication skills. Over the years, she has run both After School Creative Writing Programmes (ASCWP) and Holiday Creative Writing Workshops (HCRW) at different venues in Lagos (Island mainly). Her creative workshops for children are unique, with outlines specifically tailored to meet the talent-needs of the children and training modules structured to be inspiring for both evolving and more developed young writers. Mrs.Udoji has an uncommon ability to inspire and communicate with students from a variety of cultural backgrounds and learning environments.
Mrs. Udoji has over 15 years experience in teaching children creative writing and conducting seminars and workshops for teachers (British, Nigerian and American Curricula). She has worked with reputable, highbrow schools in Lagos, Nigeria. She has also attended numerous local and international seminars, workshops and conferences on education, child psychology, child motivation and creative writing for children and young adults. She is an erudite teacher, a dedicated educator and professionals.
